How To Create Enchanting Moon Rituals To Connect Deeper With Natural Energies

The lunar energies are a vast potential we can tap into throughout their cycle. Our biology and personal metaphysical energies are intertwined with the Moon, so it’s important to learn to tune in and check in with ourselves throughout the lunar cycle. Moon Rituals are a fun way to engage with the ambient energies around us as well as our inner selves.

If you’ve been curious about how to intentionally participate in the lunar energetic flow, let’s talk about how to create Moon Rituals for yourself.

What Are Moon Rituals?

In the broadest sense, a Moon Ritual is any practice intentionally done to tune in with the ambient natural energies associated with the lunar cycle and notice how you are connected. You can make this time whatever you like for yourself, as your energetic connections are deeply personal. Some great options for Moon Rituals include doing a smudge clearing, setting out crystals, praying, reading cards, meditating, and journaling. You can do one, all, or more. I always include crystals and a card spread to allow my subconscious to speak to me.

When Should I Do A Moon Ritual?

To stay in tune with the flow of energy and how I’m feeling as the Moon changes phases, I love setting aside time with each major phase change to do a Moon Ritual: New Moon, First Quarter Moon, Full Moon, and Third Quarter Moon. That averages out to about once per week of setting aside anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, depending on how I’m feeling, to check in with myself. You can always do more often if you choose, or stick with the New and Full Moons only for less frequency.
